This tasting room in Napa Valley opened in November 2018 and physically embodies the untraditional, edgy, and artistic nature of The Prisoner Wine Company (TPWC). The space was designed by two of wine country’s most renowned designers, architect Matt Hollis and interior designer Richard von Saal. The Prisoner Wine Company tasting room shows how they thrive on the unconventional, and the property redefines what a tasting space in this area can look and feel like. It’s unexpected, elevated, yet approachable – inspired by TPWC’s wines. The food and wine pairings are designed to reach a more diverse set of palettes—and wine drinkers—by drawing culinary inspiration from around the world. The incredibly talented team of chefs, led by Brett Young, serve dishes like curry alongside zinfandels or cabernets, soup dumplings with bold, red blends, and hearty vegan dishes with wines that are more often billed as “great with steak,” showing guests that all types of food can pair well with wine. High West Distillery (Park City, UT)
Nestled in the Utah hills, the High West Distillery & Tasting Room offers an immersive escape with tours of its state-of-the-art distillery, General Store, and restaurant. Visitors can join a Whiskey Expert for a 45-minute tour to learn about the distillation process and Utah’s unique whiskey history, followed by an optional guided tasting of High West’s most popular whiskeys. The sophisticated flavors of Durham Distillery Spirits are ready to be discovered at the on-site Corpse Reviver Cocktail Bar & Lounge, featuring an extensive cocktail menu with its flagship Conniption Gin.
